Shelia Harris is a dedicated and highly skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) with specialized experience in mental health and addiction recovery. She is licensed in both South Carolina and North Carolina. She has undergone extensive training in these areas, equipping her to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals seeking wellness.
Before earning her PMHNP-BC certification, Shelia spent four years as a Registered Nurse (RN), supporting individuals with mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Her eight-year nursing career includes expertise in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, neurology, occupational health, and substance use disorder treatment.
In addition to her mental health focus, Shelia brings ten years of experience in sleep medicine. She earned her Certification as a Registered Sleep Technologist (2009–2019) and holds a Neurodiagnostic certificate, further showcasing her diverse clinical background.
Her academic achievements include earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). She is currently furthering her expertise by pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Nursing.
Shelia is committed to a patient-centered, compassionate approach, empowering individuals to achieve optimal mental and physical health. Her diverse background in nursing, mental health, and addiction recovery remains the foundation of her practice as she continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.
